We’re learning to create innovation and investment development projects in the region together with «Agents of Changes»

On December 19 and 20 Project and Educational Centre for Innovation Development and Investment Promotion «Agents of Changes» hold trainings for those who want to succeed in implementing their own creative ideas.

In particular, a training for coaches of the center «Agents of Change» on the development and implementation of innovative projects was held in the hall of the Scientific Library of the University on December 19. Inna Gagauz, an invited expert and director of the Kharkiv Technologies Technology Business Incubator, shared her experience with the participants. The team of specialists of the «Agents of Changes» and other participants of the event got a lot of useful information on the roadmap formation of innovation projects, the status of innovation in Ukraine, received valuable advice on participation in international science and innovation support programs.

On December 20, a training was held in the university conference hall for the representatives of the united territorial communities of the region, who are engaged in project activities, as well as students and teachers who are already actively involved in developing their own projects.

«In addition to educational and scientific activities, the university’s mission is also to influence the development of the region and help the region. It is the Project and Educational Center «Agents of Changes», that was established at our university under an EU grant, aimed at developing investment and innovation in our region. The priority task of the center is the training of development specialists for the united territorial communities of the region. To do this, the university conducts trainings with the participation of experts and teachers who have some grant work experience» – said the rector of the university, Igor Tsependa, during the training.
Svitlana Kropelnytska, the project manager, gave a presentation about the Project and Educational Center «Agents of Changes» at Precarpathian National University. «Our center aims to provide consulting and educational services, create methodological support and provide, in particular, the opportunity to acquire project management knowledge through trainings, webinars, online consulting etc. We cover the entire process of training project management staff, from the moment we come up with the idea and a step-by-step application preparation to applying for a grant» – said Svitlana Kropelnytska, the director of the Project and Educational Center «Agents of Changes».

As part of the training program, the coordinator of national projects of the International European Science and Technology Program «EUREKA» from Ukraine, expert of the EEN-Ukraine consortium of the Directorate of Innovation and Technology Transfer of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Olena Harina, acquainted the participants with the participation in the International European Innovation Science and Technology Program «EUREKA»,  with types of programs and with their features.

In addition, Lyubomyr Nykyruy, the head of the National Contact Point of the EU Horyzont 2020 program, the Professor of the Department of Solid State Physics and Chemistry of Precarpathian National University, told the audience about the EU support programs of small and medium-sized businesses. He focused on project evaluation methodology and its key criteria.

Yurii Tsymbaliuk, the head of the Department for International Relations, Investments and Project Activities of the Executive Office of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Council, drew the attention of UTC representatives to participation in regional competitions and their financial opportunities, which will increase the competitiveness of communities.

Vitaliy Perederko, the head of the tourism department of the Department of International Cooperation, European Integration, Tourism and Investment of Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Administration, in turn, spoke about local, regional and donor programs for tourism development in Ivano-Frankivsk region.

The participants of the training were also acquainted with the programs of the International Visegrad Fund. Project coordinator of the Visegrad Fund, coordinator of international cooperation of the Law Institute of Precarpathian National University, Oleksandr Kovalyshyn, who has already implemented two successful projects under this program funding, shared his own experience with the participants and spoke in greater detail about the project application structure and features, and tender procedure.

Those UTC training participants, who «Agents of Changes» already cooperate with or are establishing potential in cooperation, had an opportunity to get one-to-one consultations on the development and implementation of their own development projects from invited experts and a team of project specialists.
