Textbook “A Guide to Development Project Management” has been published
In the final phase of the active stage of implementing the project within which the Project and Educational Centre “Agents of Changes” at Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University was established, the textbook “A Guide to Development Project Management” was published. It will be presented at the end of January.
The main aim of the textbook is to form a holistic understanding of methodology and tools of project management – from an idea to its successful implementation; from approaches to search for resources to financially support development projects of different types and for different target groups.
The main objectives of the textbook is, in an interactive form, to cover innovative tools, projects and solutions to secure development on the whole; basic recommendations on project preparation; methodology of development project management; peculiarities of development project funding; sources of financial support for project of different types.

The publication proposed by the authors can help everybody interested in project activities, students of HEEs, in particular, to form the ability to develop and implement different projects, namely, social, investment, research, mobility and partnership, international and cross-border, local and reginal development projects as well as to involve state-of-the-art financial tools and use them to implement the mentioned projects.
The authors analyzed the European and national experience of development project funding, which made it possible to suggest using modern innovative instruments of their organization, methods of project feasibility study, effectiveness evaluation of investment solutions; management of project risks; project financial support and optimization of the funding source structure.
The sources and methods of project funding support are covered in the textbook in the context of cooperation of all its participants – state, communities, etc. In the process of preparing the interactive publications, the authors used the newest legislative, normative, policy documents, including those of international donors, which regulates the project, investment, and grant activities.
The textbook will help to thoroughly broaden and consolidate practical knowledge of project management, budgeting and financial support at the level of modern developments of the world economic science and practice, the European countries, in particular. The authors presented the topical and complicated material on project management at the high educational and methodical level. It will be beneficial for students and faculty during their preparation for seminars, interim module knowledge control as well as during exams in other finance and investment disciplines, first and foremost, “Investment”, “Investment Analysis”, “Analysis and Funding of Investment Projects”, “Project Management”, etc. Besides, it will be useful for experts of state and local authorities, financial and banking institutions, businesses and public institutions during preparation and examination of project proposals in the process of attracting financial resources to realize projects of different types.
