Teleconference “The 2027 Development Strategy – the SRDF project funding”
The office of the Project and Educational Centre AGENTS OF CHANGES at the Precarpathian University hosted the teleconference “The 2027 Development Strategy – the SRDF project funding”. It was held by the international technical support project “Partnership for Local Economic Development and Democratic Governance” (PLEDDG) together with the REGIONET network.
Oleksandr Dudka, the expert of the PLEDDG, coordinator of the All-Ukrainian network of specialists and experts on regional and local development REGIONET, drew the participants’ attention to the status of the Regional Development Strategies and its 2021-2023 Implementation Plan. He stated that some oblasts could lose the opportunity to get the SRDF project funding in 2021 if the development strategies and their implementation plans were not timely adopted. Oleksandr Dudka also informed about the REGIONET possibilities as an information and communication network of the regional development.
Svitlana Kropelnytska, the director of the Project and Educational Centre AGENTS OF CHANGES at the Precarpathian university, coordinator of the Regional expert network REGIONET in Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, states “as now we have the programming period of development strategic planning at the state and regional levels till 2027, Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast is forming project proposals concerning the Implementation Plan of the Development Strategies for 2021-2023. It is necessary to discuss the issues concerning urgent projects of the city and oblast development, innovative ideas of business development in the region, to attract investments and other resources for projects of regional and local development, which could potentially apply for grants, new SRDF competitive selections, sectoral budget support, etc. It would help to form and successfully realize the Strategies of regional development and to achieve its key indicators.”
There were about 30 participants offline and online. The problematic aspects of the city and oblast development which can be solved, through projects as well, were discussed by the representatives of the Department of Economic Development, Industry and Infrastructure at Ivano-Frankivsk OSA, the Department of Economic and Integration Development of Ivano-Frankivsk City Executive Committee, ATC, the Agency of Oblast Regional Development, U-LEAD Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Office, deputies of Ivano-Frankivsk City Council, representatives of public organizations, higher education establishments and the team of Agents of changes.
— We actively cooperate with the AGENTS OF CHANGES at the Precarpathian Univerisy. Today’s event is important concerning the drafting of project proposals and propositions about co-funding from the state regional development fund. Tentatively, we have some ideas concerning development of tourist infrastructure in the city, safety of transport infrastructure, improvement of physical infrastructure of education establishments, development of sports infrastructure. We hope to carry out our projects with the help of the AGENTS OF CHANGES, – said Nadiya Kromkach, the head of the Department of Economic and Integration Development of Ivano-Frankivsk City Executive Committee.
There was a lively discussion after the conference where the participants tentatively agreed on several project proposals, technical projects for the Strategies of regional development.
