Today’s creative idea – tomorrow’s reality
The idea of the competition under this name was announced today at the university during the thematic meeting «Decentralization and sectoral reforms in Ukraine: expectations, achievements, prospects».
The rector of the University, Igor Tsependa, the head of the Project and Educational Center for Innovation and Investment Development in the Region «Agents of Changes», Svitlana Kropelnytska, the executive director of the Association of Ukrainian Cities, Oleksandr Slobozhan, the executive director of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Branch of the Association of Ukrainian Cities, Yuriy Stefanchuk, took part in the event.
During the meeting, the rector of the University, Igor Tsependa, drew the attention of teachers and students to the importance of cooperation with the united territorial communities at their place of residence.
First of all, the rector said it is necessary to suggest interesting ideas and projects that would be in the best interest of the community development and then to help implement these projects. Everyone has the relevant knowledge and a modern vision of particular issues to make it real. «Such a cooperation will be a good platform for the further development of your communities and for your professional development» said the rector.
Oleksandr Slobozhan, the executive director of the Association of Ukrainian Cities, outlined the position of the Association on the peculiarities of decentralization reform, sectoral reforms and the problems that arise alongside. As a result of the reform, local self-government has already undergone significant changes. The united communities are showing a lot of achievements, as they have received great resources and new powers. However, Oleksandr Slobozhan emphasized that united territorial communities in modern conditions need financial issues, project management, specialists etc. He invited teachers and students of the university to join the specific field work in the framework of the cooperation agreement between the university and the regional branch of the Association of Ukrainian Cities.
Therefore, Yuriy Stefanchuk, the executive director of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Branch of the Association of Ukrainian Cities, came up with the idea of holding a joint competition «Today’s creative idea – tomorrow’s successful business», in which teachers, scientists and university students will be able to participate. «This will be the first step in our cooperation. I hope it will be successful and productive,» he said.
The participants of the discussion all agreed that this interesting idea will be discussed in the near future and later the Project and Educational Center for Innovation and Investment Development «Agents of Changes» will announce the conditions for this competition at the university. The head of the Project and Educational Center, associate professor of the university, Svitlana Kropelnytska, in the presentation of her project directions also emphasized on the need to increase the innovative capacity of the region and told in detail how the university is going to assist. In particular, it was about training programs for the relevant human resources, which will include thematic trainings, workshops, lectures, webinars and various practical classes.
