Meeting place IVANO-FRANKIVSK ODA

The second meeting of the Working Group for the Development of the Development Strategy of the Ivano-Frankivsk Region for 2021-2027, headed by the Head of the Regional State Administration Denys Shmygal, took place in Ivano-Frankivsk. In particular, the Vice-Rector of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University Valentyna Yakubiv and the Head of the Project and Educational Center «Agents of Changes» Svitlana Kropelnytska took part in this work.

It was spoken of using a human-centered model in strategic development planning. Behind these complex formulations, according to Denys Shmygal, there are quite simple things – affordable education and quality medicine, clean water and air, personal safety, interesting work with decent pay and rest, transport accessibility, fair trial, no bureaucracy.

We are sure that the set goals can be achieved through project activities. Agents of Changes have success stories and are ready to share their experience with all those interested in the development of Prykarpattia! Therefore, Svitlana Kropelnytska, the head of Agents of Changes, emphasized that the decentralization reform is aimed at developing human potential. And since the method of assessing regional development has been approved at the governmental level of our state, the key indicators of socio-economic development are the indices of regional development of human potential and competitiveness of other regions.

In her opinion, they should become a basic reference point in the development of the system of indicators of the Development Strategy. Interestingly, just these days in Brussels as part of the «European Week of Regions and Cities 2019» present a methodology for calculating a new index of competitiveness of EU regions. AGENTS OF CHANGES believe that as a European state we must take this into account when developing new program documents for territorial development.
